There were quite a few seats spare at the back of the plane so had 2 seats to myself. The chap who was sitting next to me for take off was knackered after travelling from the USA and soon laid out on seats. Lucky for him. One of the cabin staff was a Rangers supporter but he didn't look happy. Wonder why?
It was such a long flight I was starving and because they had some spare I had 2 hot dinners - result!
Saw my first bag of books for the library arrive but had to wait a while for my kit - I was sweating a bit there. Quickly through immigration, handed my $50 and then security grabbed me to get my bags X-Rayed! Hmmn... I must have looked dodgy ha ha!
And there was Annabel to meet me! So great to see her again after 8 months. Trevor our taxi driver took us to Backpackers (well you have to experience what these youngsters go through).
On way in to Kampala we drove past somebody that had just been knocked down. Def fatal. His wellue boots and stuff was strewn across the road. Very sad. However at 1am you are not advised to stop as it can be dangerous. There were other folk helping anyway.
btw in UK when overtaking they give you at least a metre but here it is more like an inch! Scary.
Now waiting on Trevor taking us to villa.

Entering the African continent!
Welcome to Backpackers
Looks like a prison cell but spacious and the mattressesses are more comfortable than some hotels I've stayed in the Med!
Interesting tap - struggled to wash my hands lol
